Nine Dogs find new homes at Bucks game

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League, in conjunction with the Laredo Animal Protective Society Shelter, announced Thursday that nine dogs were adopted at the Bucks Third Annual Adopt a Pet Night at the Laredo Entertainment Center Wednesday night.

The nine dogs adopted at the LEC set a new record for any petfest the shelter has ever had, and puts the number of animals adopted at Bucks events in the last three years close to 80.

Even with the success of Wednesday night's event, the Shelter is at maximum capacity with over 200 dogs and cats who are in desperate need of adoption from the Laredo community.

The Bucks will host the Mississippi RiverKings on Friday night, and the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday night. *Bucks Fall To Fourth In CHL Coaches Poll* The Bucks dropped one spot in the latest CHL Coaches Poll Thursday. The Bucks are behind Bossier-Shreveport (#1), Rocky Mountain (#2), and Colorado (#3).

The coaches poll is determined by all 17 CHL head coaches (teams cannot vote for themselves), and is released every two weeks.
