Nick Pratto Named South Atlantic League Player of the Week

WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) - Lexington Legends first baseman Nick Pratto has been named the South Atlantic League Player of the Week for the week of August 27 to September 3. Pratto had an incredible week at the plate batting .429 with four doubles, 2 home runs six RBI and scoring 13 runs.

"Nick has been an important part of the team throughout the season and we are happy to see him be recognized for his hard work. Not only is he a reliable first baseman, but his bat has been integral to the lineup each night. We are so excited to see a third Legend be recognized for this high honor this season," said Legends President/CEO Andy Shea.

Pratto had a career week in the final days of the regular season. He recorded a career high four hits facing the Augusta GreenJackets on August 27 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. On August 31, he helped lead the Legends to victory in order to ensure a playoff bid. He went 3-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base to secure the postseason for the Legends.

He ended the regular season on a five-game hit streak, recording multiple hits in four of those games. He coupled the hit streak with scoring at least one run in each of those games. Pratto hit doubles in back-to-back games on September 1st and 2nd and he now has 33 doubles this season.

Pratto joins catcher MJ Melendez (May 14-20) and infielder Manny Olloque (July 16-22) in being recognized with his honor for the Legends in 2018.

The Legends clinched the Second Half Southern Division title on Friday, August 31 at Greenville. They will now play host to the Rome Braves for the South Atlantic League playoffs beginning September 5 at 7:05 p.m. at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Fans can purchase ticket packages for the entirety of playoffs held at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Prices range from $24 Box Seats to $66 Diamond Club seats for all three games which are slated for September 5th, 10th and 11th. Single game playoff game tickets are also available. All purchases are final. Any games not played, or if the Legends are eliminated from the playoffs, accounts will be credited for 2019 tickets and ticket packages.
