The Liberty is headed to the playoffs! New York clinched a spot in the post-season over the weekend. For the seventh time in the nine year history of the league, the Liberty will have the opportunity to play for the WNBA Championship. With three games remaining in the regular season and a playoff berth guaranteed, the team is now playing for playoff positioning. While dates and opponents are yet to be determined, the 2005 WNBA Playoffs will be played during the following time frames:
- Eastern Conference Semi-Finals: August 30 - September 4
- Eastern Conference Finals: September 8 - 10
- WNBA Finals: September 14 - 22
Come celebrate the Liberty's playoff berth with us! The team's final regular season home game is this Thursday when Charlotte buzzes into The Garden at 7:30 p.m. So come wish the Liberty well as they head off to the post-season. Thursday is Fan Appreciation Night at The Garden! New York has the most loyal fans in the entire league and we want to say 'thank you' for your continued support!
