Newhouse Latest Prospect to Commit to Hounds

Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis announced this morning the signing of another member of the 2015 draft class.
Goaltender DOUGIE NEWHOUSE is the latest prospect to officially join The Program.
"We are extremely happy to welcome Dougie as an official a member of this Greyhounds team. Dougie had a great training camp and we are excited to see how Dougie grows as a goaltender within our system" stated Raftis.
Newhouse, a native of Thunder Bay ON was originally selected in the 12th Round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection presented by StateFarm.
In 27 games played with the Thunder Bay Kings Minor Midget one year ago (2014-15), he posted 13 wins and 9 losses to go along with a 2.47 GAA.
The 6.00, 165 lb netminder also appeared for Team HNO at the 2015 OHL Gold Cup.
Dougie is presently a member of the Waterloo Wolves Major Midget AAA Hockey Club, hosts of the 2016 Central Region Midget AAA Championships.
