New York Red Bulls News Release

HARRISON, NJ (October 23, 2011) - The New York Red Bulls will face Western Conference side, FC Dallas, in a single elimination Wild Card Game on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 9:00 PM ET. The match will be televised live nationally on Fox Soccer Channel.

The Red Bulls' opponent was determined after the Houston Dynamo's 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy earlier tonight, which pushed New York to the 10th overall seed. If the Red Bulls were to advance, they would face the top-seeded Galaxy in a home-and-home Conference Semifinal Series. The first leg would take place at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, Oct. 30 at a time to be determined (TV: ESPN or ESPN2, Deportes, ESPN3).

The Red Bulls will be training at their facility on the campus of Montclair State University at 10:30 AM on Monday and Tuesday. Media members should contact a member of the Red Bulls Communications Staff if they are interested in attending or have any questions.

New York is 1-0-1 against the seventh-seeded FC Dallas this season. On July 23, the sides played to a 2-2 tie at Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls won the return fixture at Pizza Hut Park, 1-0, on Sept. 17 with Luke Rodgers scoring the lone goal in the 36th minute. New York has faced Dallas in the 2000 MLS Cup Playoffs, earning a pair of 2-1 wins in the Conference Semifinals to advance.

Ticket prices for the potential MLS Conference Semifinal playoff match at Red Bull Arena scheduled to take place Oct. 30 remain the same as regular season ticket prices.
