
New York Red Bulls to Face Philadelphia Union on February 12

HARRISON, NJ (February 5, 2014) - The 2013 Supporters' Shield winning New York Red Bulls announced today that they will face the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, FL, as part of the team's 2014 MLS regular season preparations. Kickoff for the match is at 6:00 PM.
This match precedes the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL, where the Red Bulls will compete against Sporting Kansas City (Feb. 19 at 3:00 PM), the Montreal Impact (Feb. 22 at 6:00 PM), and Fluminense FC's Under-23s (Feb. 26 at 3:00 PM). On March 1, the Red Bulls will play their final match of the Disney Pro Soccer Classic (full preseason schedule below).
The Red Bulls and Union's first meeting of the 2014 MLS regular season will be on April 16, when the Union travels to Red Bull Arena. Last season, the Red Bulls and Union met three times during the regular season with New York going 1-1-1 against Philadelphia. On March 30, the Red Bulls defeated the Union, 2-1, at Red Bull Arena on Thierry Henry's 81st minute goal that stood to be the game winner. On June 23, the Red Bulls suffered a 3-0 loss to the Union at PPL Park. Finally, on August 17, the teams played a scoreless draw at Red Bull Arena. New York is 6-3-1 all-time against Philadelphia.

Feb. 6: Red Bulls vs. University of South Florida at 3:30 PM (closed-door scrimmage)

Feb. 17: Team travels to Orlando, FL for Disney Pro Soccer Classic field at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
