
New York Red Bulls Midfielder Cristian Cásseres, Jr. Named to Venezuela Men's National Team Roster for March Friendlies

HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls midfielder Cristian Cásseres, Jr. has been selected to the Venezuela Men's National Team roster for their upcoming friendlies in March.
Cásseres, Jr. and Venezuela will play two international friendlies, first against Saudi Arabia on March 24 and then Uzbekistan on March 28. The Caracas, Venezuela native has made 18 caps for Venezuela and has made nine starts over 863 minutes played.
Cásseres, Jr. just entered his sixth season with the Red Bulls and has started the first four matches, while playing 360 minutes. The Venezuelan international recorded his first assist of the season in New York's 2-1 win against Columbus on Saturday. He has tallied seven assists in his last 10 MLS regular season matches.
Last season, Cásseres, Jr. set a new career-high in minutes played (2,200) and assists (6), which he was tied for the club lead. The midfielder reached his 100th career MLS appearance on February 25 against Orlando City SC.
