New York Red Bulls Down Orlando City, 2-0

HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls defeated Orlando City SC, 2-0 on Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena behind the first career goal from Connor Lade and an insurance goal from Felipe. The Red Bulls extend their home-undefeated streak to seven games, including six consecutive shutouts behind three saves from Luis Robles.

New York is now 8-9-3 on the season and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference with 27 points. New York is 7-2-1 at home this season.

New York is undefeated in seven straight home matches (6-0-1) and has shutout opponents in the last six home contests (546 consecutive shutout minutes at home). The last time New York allowed a goal at home was the 86th minute of Orlando City's last visit on April 24.

Lade got the game-winner in the 38th minute. The Morristown, N.J. native stepped into a loose ball at the top of the box in the aftermath of a Sean Davis corner kick and fired a strike by Joe Bendik. Lade, who signed with New York in 2012, is the franchise's all-time leader in games played by Homegrown Players. Wednesday night was his 69th MLS regular season appearance.

Felipe got his fourth of the year in the 59th minute, curling a free kick through traffic for his fourth goal of the year. Three of the Brazilian's four goals this season have come from outside the box.

Robles made his 126th consecutive regular season start, passing Tony Meola on the franchise lists for games played and started in goal. Robles continues to add to his franchise record for wins (58) and shutouts (35).

The Red Bulls travel to Philadelphia for a nationally televised match against the Union on Sunday, July 17 (7 p.m. ET, TV: Fox Sports 1, Fox Deportes). New York then returns home to host the third New York Derby against New York City FC on Sunday, July 24 on FOX.
