April 22, 2021 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York Red Bulls News Release
Harrison, NJ - The New York Red Bulls and the Tri-State Audi Dealers today have proudly unveiled "GOOOOALS Give Back", a program to encourage environmental protection and sustainability. The Red Bulls and Audi will partner together to plant four trees in Newark, NJ for every goal scored by a Red Bulls player in 2021.
Audi has been the Official Luxury Vehicle of the New York Red Bulls since 2015 and Audi of America remains an official partner with Major League Soccer.
Thanks to their community partner Jersey Cares, the Red Bulls will have a variety of tree-types planted in Newark that include Blackberry, Hazelnut, Raspberry, Red Maple and Walnut. Staff members of the New York Red Bulls will assist in planting the trees.
"We are thrilled to come together with the Tri-State Audi Dealers to announce this wonderful initiative on Earth Day," said Marc de Grandpre, General Manager, New York Red Bulls. "We are proud to have such valued partners like Audi, who continue to be environmentally conscious and aware in these important times."
Audi of America has a goal of achieving a 30% electrified model portfolio globally by 2025, including fully electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. The brand plans to have more fully electric models on sale in the U.S. than any other luxury brand by the end of 2021, including the all-electric Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback, Audi e-tron GT and high-performance RS e-tron GT derivative, the Audi Q4 e-tron and the Q4 Sportback e-tron models. Audi aims to achieve full net CO2 neutrality globally across the lifecycle of its vehicles by 2050.
