New York City FC News Release
New York City FC and Your Local Ford Stores, the Official Domestic SUV and Truck of the Club, announced an expanded partnership, making Ford the first-ever Official Front-of-Shirt Partner for the Club's Girls Teams.
As one of New York City FC's Founding Partners, Your Local Ford Stores have been part of the Club since its inaugural season in 2015. In addition to expanding the partnership as the Girls Teams Front-of-Shirt Partner, Ford will continue to be present in the community and throughout various New York City FC programs and initiatives, including programming supporting first responders and an evolved investment into both boys and girls youth soccer programming across the five boroughs.
"We're thrilled to continue this partnership," said Andres Gonzalez, New York City FC Vice President of Partnerships. "Your Local Ford Stores have been with the Club since our inaugural season, and with the support of our Girls Teams as a Front-of-Shirt Partner, we are expanding our commitment to the empowerment of our young athletes. Together, we're working to drive progress and minimize barriers to ensure that every soccer player has the chance to showcase their skills."
As part of the partnership, New York City FC and Your Local Ford Stores will continue to host their annual Local Ford Classic for the sixth year. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to local charities selected by NYPD and FDNY. More details around this year's Local Ford Classic will be released later this year.
Your Local Ford Stores will also return as the presenting partner for New York City FC's Street Team and Youth Programs. In these vital roles, Ford will continue collaborating with the Club as it offers programs focused on increasing access to soccer for New York City youth while providing training opportunities for them to hone their skills.
"It's an exciting time to be part of the Club. Your Local Ford Stores are all about building community and these initiatives are a great way to grow the sport and grow our collective fan bases," said John Billard, President of Your Local Ford Stores.
