Omaha, Nebraska â Omaha Beef Professional Indoor Football has acquired from the Evansville Blue Cats quarterback Dusty Burk. Burk is 6' 2" - 200 lbs and played his college ball at Illinois State and Truman State.
While at Illinois State in 1999 Burk led the team to the semi-finals of the IAA playoffs. He passed for 3,672 yards with 31 touchdowns in his Illinois State career. At Truman State (NCAA Division II School) he passed for 2,621 yards with 19 touchdowns and rushed for 807 yards with 12 touchdowns.
After his senior season he was selected to play in the Division II All Star Game, The Cactus Bowl. In 2002 Burk spent time with the Peoria Pirates of arenafootball2. He started the first 2004 Evansville game in the National Indoor Football League.
Burk is a native of Attwood Illinois where he played for his father, Tim at Tuscola high school.
The Beef are back at the Slaughterhouse this Saturday night at 7:05 PM vs. Lincoln Capitols. Doors open at 6:00 PM. More than 40 mascots will be on hand for the annual mascot night and half-time football game.
