New Mexico United Announces Lowered Capacity at September Home Matches

New Mexico United News Release
Albuquerque, NM - In an effort to reduce transmission of COVID-19 and protect our community, New Mexico United has made the decision to reduce capacity at upcoming home matches in September to 66%, or roughly 9,500 seats. In addition, New Mexico United is encouraging individuals attending the match to wear masks while walking around the concourse of Isotopes Park. Any and all purchased tickets for the aforementioned matches are still valid.
"Our goals are twofold: to create the most intimidating atmosphere in the USL Championship, and to keep New Mexicans safe," said New Mexico United Owner/President Peter Trevisani. "We must do our part to keep our communities healthy."
In addition to the capacity restriction, New Mexico United and our partner Western Sky Community Care will also be offering COVID-19 tests prior to entry at United matches, as well as COVID-19 vaccinations at select tailgate events. United will reevaluate capacity restrictions as COVID-19 statistics in New Mexico continue to change.
For comparison, United's largest attendance of the 2021 season so far was 10,418, with weekend crowds growing steadily since the season began. (8/14 v El Paso)
