New Logo, Colors on Kids Sweaters

Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Black Hawks' new look will be featured on 500 jerseys given away to kids in attendance on Friday, October 22nd when the Hawks host the Lincoln Stars.

The youth jerseys are presented by SCHEELS and Christie Door Company, and the team provided a first look at them on Tuesday. The first 500 kids aged 4-12 coming to the October 22nd game will receive one of the primarily black jerseys. Earlier this year, the Black Hawks introduces a new, streamlined logo which appears as a red crest on the front of the one-size-fits-most sweaters. Waterloo also added silver to the team's color assortment this summer; the youth jersey sleeves, waist, and collar are all trimmed in silver. The number "1" also appears on the back beneath the SCHEELS logo.

"We would love to see all of our fans wearing Black Hawks jerseys at the rink this season, so that was one of the reasons we wanted to host Youth Jersey Night as early as possible," said Black Hawks President of Business Operations Joe Greene. "I would like to recognize SCHEELS and Christie Door Company for their longstanding partnership, which has helped a lot of kids enjoy putting on their first Waterloo Black Hawks jersey during the past several years."

This is the sixth season SCHEELS has worked with the Black Hawks on this popular promotion and the fourth year that Christie Door Company has helped provide youth jerseys. SCHEELS' Cedar Falls location is in Viking Plaza. The 100 percent employee-owned company features the world's largest selection of sporting goods, apparel, footwear, and more from top brands. Christie Door Company is also in Cedar Falls, serving customers in the Cedar Valley and beyond. They install and service a wide range of residential and commercial garage doors and accessories.

Waterloo's game against Lincoln will also mark the return of the Domino's Family 4 Pack for the 2021/22 season. Fans can enjoy a large Domino's pizza and four sodas, plus four chuck-a-pucks with their four tickets for just $60 during this and other select games.
