Portland, Ore. - The on-ice portion of the 2021 Neely Cup continued Friday, the second of four straight days of competition. Team Ludvig closed the gap in standings, setting up an entertaining third day of games on Saturday afternoon, while Team Hill and Team Iverson are tied for the top spot in the standings after two days of action.
The three teams, named after Winterhawks alumni Adin Hill, Johnny Ludvig and Keegan Iverson, filled with roster hopefuls are competing against one another at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
* Winterhawks alumnus Tyler Wotherspoon skated as a member of Team Hill in the team's first game of the day
Please note, game format consisted of a 40-minute running clock period, then followed by a ten-minute three-on-three. The winner of the 40-minute period receives three points in the Neely Cup Standings and the winner of the three-on-three session earns two points in the standings and any ties earn one point each.
