NBDL Fort Worth announces 2005-06 schedule

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 13, 2005 - NBDL Fort Worth will open its inaugural season in the National Basketball Development League with 23 exciting home dates, including 15 weekend contests at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

"We've been eagerly anticipating our schedule and believe that our patience has paid off," said team president Todd Speer. "The 2005-06 inaugural season schedule includes a phenomenal list of dates where we can showcase this great NBA product to the people of Fort Worth."

Highlighted by five Friday and four Saturday dates, the 2005-06 schedule also offers six Sunday home games incorporating exciting, high-flying basketball action of tomorrow's stars in a relaxed, family atmosphere.

The 2005-06 schedule tips off with back-to-back road games beginning in Roanoke (Va.) against the Dazzle Friday, November 18 followed by the Fayetteville Patriots Saturday, November 19. Official game times will be announced at a later date.

NBDL Fort Worth will host NBDL Tulsa, formerly the defending league champion Asheville Altitude, in the home opener Wednesday, November 23. A five game home stretch follows, concluding with the teams' first match-up against the Florida Flame Thursday, December 8.

The 48-game regular season schedule is balanced, with an equal number of home and away games, including a two-day stint at the 2006 MLK Showcase January 15-16 in Fayetteville (N.C.), which will feature eight D-League games.

From February to March, NBDL Fort Worth will compete in 15 games, eight home and seven road. The regular season wraps up in April with six games throughout the first nine days of the month. NBDL Fort Worth will host NBDL Albuquerque in the regular season finale Sunday, April 9.

NBDL Fort Worth tickets are on sale now and feature numerous options for the entertainment needs of the entire family. Tickets are available in the following price ranges $26 (Lower Level), $20 (Middle Level Midcourt), $14 (Middle Level Baseline), $10 (Upper Level Midcourt), and $8 (Upper Level Baseline).
