Florida Flame announce 2005-06 schedule and season ticket information

FORT MYERS, Fla., July 13 - The Florida Flame will tip-off their second season of providing NBA Development League basketball and affordable family entertainment to Southwest Florida in their home opener, Sunday, November 20 at 5 p.m. as they take on the Arkansas Rimrockers at Germain Arena.

The Flame have also placed season tickets on sale for the 2005-06 NBDL campaign. With the goal of providing increased value and benefits to season ticket holders, the Flame are offering an array of benefits highlighted by entry into a grand prize drawing to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to the 2006 NBA All-Star Game in Houston, Texas, and a season ticket holders trip to a Miami Heat game at the American Airlines Arena.

"We're excited to start our second season of bringing top quality entertainment to the people of Southwest Florida," said Flame Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Matt LaBranche. "Having sixty percent of our home games on the weekends will make it more convenient for families to come and experience what the Florida Flame have to offer."

The 2005-06 NBA Development League season runs November 2005 through April 2006. The Flame will play 48 regular season games during the 2005-06 campaign, with 23 home games at Germain Arena. Florida will play 15 of its 23 regular season home games on the weekends, including 11 Friday and Saturday home games.

The Flame will also take part in the 2006 MLK Showcase January 15-16 in Fayetteville, N.C., which will feature eight D-League games in two days. All eight NBDL teams will converge on Fayetteville to perform in front of NBA coaches, scouts, and player personnel directors to showcase their talent in the hopes of earning a Gatorade NBA Call-up.

Season ticket packages for all Flame home games at Germain Arena start as low as $276. As an incentive for fans, the Flame are offering the innovative Flame VIP Rewards Card program for all season ticket holders. By using their Flame VIP Rewards Card, season ticket holders will receive discounts on products and services at participating businesses, such as restaurants and retail stores, across Southwest Florida.

Season ticket holder benefits include (pending seat location):

Individual game tickets start at $13.00 (Gold Bowl). Other prices are $22 (Platinum Bowl), $28 (Courtside Seats) and $80 (Front Row). The Flame are also presenting a Seniors Discount with all fans 65 or older receiving $2 off any game ticket.

In addition, the Flame are offering Flex Plans designed to fit any fan's schedule. With the purchase of a Flex Plan, fans receive ten (10) tickets for $120 and can select the games they would like to attend during the season. Fans may select the game they would like to attend at the time of purchase or redeem their vouchers on the day of the game (seats are subject to availability).

Group tickets for groups of 20 or more individuals are priced at $8 per ticket for Gold Bowl seats and $10 per ticket for Platinum Bowl seats, savings of up to 45-55% off individual ticket prices for premium seats to Flame games in 2005-06. The NBDL, the NBA's Development League, just completed its fourth season. The league includes the Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), as well as Albuquerque (N.M.), Tulsa (Okla.) and Austin and Fort Worth (Texas).

The league offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA's umbrella. Thirty-four (34) players have been called up the NBA on 50 separate occasions. Nine former NBDL coaches, five athletic trainers, 11 referees and 29 front office executives have also been called up since the start of the league's inaugural season in November 2001. Six additional front office executives have earned positions with other major league sports.
