SALIM STOUDAMIRE SIGNS WITH RENO BIGHORNS

RENO, Nev. The Reno Bighorns acquired former Atlanta Hawk guard Salim Stoudamire yesterday from the NBA Development League's available player pool, adding another veteran point guard to the Bighorns roster. Stoudamire, who played collegiately at the University of Arizona, was the Atlanta Hawks second round pick (31st overall) in the 2005 NBA Draft. Over three seasons in Atlanta, the 6-1, 175-pound point guard appeared in 157 NBA games, including one start. Stoudamire averaged 8.0 ppg and shot 36.6% from beyond the arc during his time with the Hawks. During his collegiate career, Stoudamire averaged 15.2 ppg with the Wildcats. He appeared in 129-career games, and averaged at least 12 points per game in each of his four seasons.

GRIZZLIES RECALL DeMARRE CARROLL FROM NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE'S DAKOTA WIZARDS

Memphis, Tennessee - The Memphis Grizzlies recalled DeMarre Carroll from the Dakota Wizards, the team's NBA Development League affiliate, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced yesterday. The 6-8, 212-pound forward averaged 18.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 35.8 minutes in six games (all starts) for Dakota after being assigned to the Wizards on Dec. 14. The 24-year-old tallied single-game highs with 23 points and 15 rebounds on Dec. 25 at Sioux Falls. The 27th overall pick in the 2009 Draft, Carroll holds NBA career averages of 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10.9 minutes in 75 games (one start) over two seasons with the Grizzlies. He has appeared in four games this season, posting 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes. Carroll will rejoin the Grizzlies as Memphis looks for its third consecutive win against the Utah Jazz at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7 at FedExForum.

ALABI REASSIGNED TO ERIE BAYHAWKS OF THE NBA D-LEAGUE

The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday they have reassigned rookie centre Solomon Alabi to the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League. Alabi will continue to be included on the Raptors' roster and will be placed on the team's inactive list. Alabi was with the BayHawks from November 15 - December 9. He appeared in seven games with Erie, averaging 8.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 22.7 minutes. He had 12 points and 11 rebounds in the Bayhawks' 102-82 victory over the Utah Flash. Alabi has appeared in five games with the Raptors, totaling five rebounds in 15 minutes.

Jerome Dyson came off the bench to score 26 points in a win over Fort Wayne. Elijah Millsap tallied 20 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Springfield's Gavin Edwards, Chas McFarland, Jerry Smith, and Tre Whitted each scored 16 points in a win over New Mexico.

Chris Lofton led the way for the Energy as he recorded 30 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals in a win over Reno.
