ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS...a look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games
Eight players with D-League experience competed in three NBA games last night. Here are the highlights:
v Jordan Farmar scored 10 points in 18 minutes for the Los Angeles Lakers.
v Clipper Smush Parker finished with 12 points in 28 minutes for Los Angeles.
v Brandon Bass scored 14 points off the bench for the Dallas Mavericks.
D-LEAGUE PLAYOFFS 101: The 2007-08 D-League Playoffs presented by Delta will begin shortly after the regular season concludes on April 12 and will consist of three rounds. The first two rounds are single elimination, while the Finals will be a best-of-three series. The three division winners, as well as three wild card teams, will qualify for the 2008 D-League Playoffs presented by Delta. Tie breakers are, in order, head-to-head record, winning percentage against teams .500 and above, and point differential. The two division winners with the best records will receive byes in the first round.
POST SEASON PREDICTORS: All 14 D-League teams are in action tonight, with two playoff spots still up for grabs on the eve of the regular season finale. Following is a breakdown of games with playoff implications.
v Sioux Falls clinches the Central Division with a win.
v Austin clinches the Southwest Division with a win OR a Colorado Loss.
v Colorado clinches a playoff berth with a win OR a Tulsa loss.
