Game notes: The Moose Jaw Warriors (36-19-0-2, 74 pts) currently sit third in the Eastern Conference, with their division all but locked up by the Saskatoon Blades. They must now fend off the surging Swift Current Broncos and Red Deer Rebels to hang onto home ice in the first round of the playoffs. The Warriors own one of the most potent offenses in the WHL, led by trade deadline acquisition and Buffalo Sabres prospect Matt Savoie. Savoie, 19, has logged 10 goals and 14 assists in 13 games played as a Warrior. Also on the Warriors roster is Seattle Kraken second-round pick Jagger Firkus, who reached 100 points on the season on Feb. 24 in Spokane.

Game notes: The Regina Pats (21-31-4-2, 48 pts) are on the outside looking in at the Eastern Conference playoff picture. As the 11th seed, they trail Lethbridge by nine points with 10 games left to play. The Pats are led by Tanner Howe, who has accumulated 72 points in 58 games played in his first season of NHL Draft eligibility. Former Everett Silvertip Ty Gibson has recorded 13 assists in 19 games played since joining Regina just before the trade deadline.
