TULSA, Okla. - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals (32-43/3-2) fell in game three of the four-game series to the Tulsa Drillers (41-33/4-1) on Saturday night by a 2-0 final at ONEOK Field. Northwest Arkansas looks to split their second consecutive series on Sunday afternoon as the club plays its final game prior to the All-Star break.
Right-hander, Ashton Goudeau (2-5, 2.97) takes a tough loss despite firing 6.0 innings of two-run baseball, scattering five hits on the outing with a strikeout. The Bossier City resident retired the final seven batters and 11 of the last 13. The quality outing is the fourth on the season.
The Naturals out-hit the Drillers on Saturday night, 8-5, but stranded nine runners on base. Frank Schwindel recorded two hits on the night while Mauricio Ramos tripled in the sixth inning to extend his hitting streak to seven games.
Left-hander, Eric Stout, fired 2.0 innings of scoreless relief while striking out two over his appearance.
The series concludes on Sunday afternoon at ONEOK Field with a 1:05 p.m. first pitch. Right-hander, Pedro Fernandez (1-2, 3.57) looks to build off his previous start of 7.2 innings as he makes his fourth start of the season. He'll counter against right-hander, Jeremy Kehrt (1-2, 5.20) for the Drillers.
