SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Naturals are entering the home stretch of the season, but Strike and the Naturals Street Team are finishing strong in their community efforts in the season's final month. Check out the schedule below to see where you can see Strike out and about in Northwest Arkansas.
Friday, August 2: Strike will visit the Back to School celebration held as part of the Bentonville First Friday from 4- 6 p.m. The event will be held at the Downtown Square in Bentonville.
Thursday, August 8: Students who will be attending Fulbright Junior High School for the upcoming school year will be welcomed by Strike as they attend open house from 4-7 p.m.
Thursday, August 15: Strike will enjoy music and watermelon during the Watermelon Social as part of Eureka Springs Bluegrass weekend.
Friday, August 16: Students attending Sonora Elementary School's third annual Pop-In Party will not only have the opportunity to meet their teacher for the upcoming school year; they'll also get to meet Strike! Strike will be at the school to greet students as well as raise awareness for the fundraising night at Arvest Ballpark on August 25.
Saturday, August 17: Participants in the American Cancer Society's Fight Back 5K will have Strike congratulating them at the finish line as they raise money for cancer research. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. in Bentonville.
Monday, August 19: Strike will be visiting numerous Northwest Arkansas schools on the first day of classes as he wishes students a terrific school year.
Saturday, August 23: Strike will get up close and personal with some American muscle as he attends the Summer's End Corvette Car Show at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers sponsored by the NWA Corvette Club.
Sunday, August 25: Strike will spend the day at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville as part of their Family Sunday program.
Saturday, August 31: Participants in the Butterfly Race in Springdale will have a Sasquatch greet them at the finish line as Strike attends the annual 5K and ½ mile fun run. Proceeds from the Butterfly Race help families pay for genetic testing to detect genetic abnormalities and disorders.
In addition, several community groups will be at Arvest Ballpark during the month as part of fundraising nights. So far, over $90,000 has been raised by groups this season.
