Naturals Announce 2009 Promotional Calendar

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to release details pertaining to the promotional schedule for the 2009 season. Our 2009 calendar includes an expanded slate of premium giveaway items, spectacular post-game fireworks shows, and return visits by popular mascot entertainment acts.

The Naturals will have eleven fireworks shows throughout the season at Arvest Ballpark including Opening Day and all Friday home dates.

Post-game fireworks will be just part of our fridaynightbash™ which also will include live performances by local entertainment acts prior to every Friday night game.

Most Saturday home games will feature giveaways sponsored by our corporate partners. The highlights include a Kila Ka'aihue Bobblehead presented by Western Federal Credit union, part of a Hawaiian-theme weekend (Saturday, May 2nd), a beach towel giveaway presented by Nickelodeon (Saturday, July 11th) and a back to school lunchbox giveaway presented by CCF Brands (Saturday, August 29th).

This season Wednesdays will also feature giveaways or traveling mascot acts. Among the giveaway highlights are an Naturals umbrella giveaway presented by the Arkansas Department of Oral Health (Wednesday, May 13th), and a Naturals kickball giveaway presented by General Mills (Wednesday, August 5th).

Kids will continue to run the bases after every Sunday home game as part of Nickelodeon Family Sundays, led by members of the Naturals' "Knothole Gang" sponsored by J.B. Hunt Transport.

The Famous Chicken will return to Arvest Ballpark on Saturday, June 13th and headlines the list of national entertainment acts scheduled to visit Arvest Ballpark this summer. The slate also includes the popular mascot act Zooperstars! (August 1st), Birdzerk (May 15th), and a two-day visit from Springdale's favorite pet pooch, Jake the Diamond Dog (April 17th and 18th). Dancing Christopher and his puppets will also pay Arvest Ballpark two visits (May 27th and August 12th).

The Naturals will also hold two School Kids Day games, on Tuesday, May 21st and Wednesday, May 20th, and also have summertime weekday matinee games on Wednesday, June 17th, Monday, June 29th, and Tuesday, July 14th.
