(WILMINGTON, DE) Patrick Lehman delivered another quality start, the bullpen stood strong in the late innings, and Robbie Jacobsen and Mike Burgess did the rest. Burgess' two-run triple broke a 2-2 tie in the eleventh inning Friday night in Wilmington before Jacobsen's drove in his third run of the night to add the final insurance in a series-evening 5-2 victory.

The game started as another pitchers' duel; both Lehman and Wiilmington southpaw Ivor Hodgson matched zeroes through a brisk first three innings.

In the fourth, the Blue Rocks drew ahead. After Jamie Romak's leadoff double and a Jason Taylor sacrifice bunt, Jamar Walton hit a soft chopper to first that scored Romak.

The Nats answered right back in the fifth. With one out, Robbie Jacobsen hit a solo home run to left - his fourth since May 25 and third in five games.

The Rocks scored their second run in the sixth on Eric Hosmer's second double of the game, but the lead was short lived. In the seventh, Jacobsen struck again. After a single from Burgess and a Tyler Moore double, Jacobsen hit a sacrifice fly to deep right field to level the score at two.

The clubs remained knotted for the next three innings. Joe Bisenius made his Potomac debut with a scoreless frame and gave way to Dan Leatherman, who pitched a brilliant three innings - he struck out four and allowed only two baserunners - to earn his second win of the season.

For the second straight start against Wilmington, Lehman pitched seven innings and yielded just two runs on six hits. He struck out six and walked two.

The teams resume the four-game series Saturday night at 6:05 P.M. The lefty Evan Bronson will be opposed by Alex Caldera.
