Kinston Indians News Release

Roster Moves - Kinston outfielder Adam Davis gets the call up to Double A Akron today. Two outfielders will join the team today, Tim Palincsar and Trent Baker both from Extended Spring Training in Goodyear, Arizona. Palincsar was a 40th round selection in 2008 out of Texas-San Antonio. He hit .208 with three home runs and 18 RBI in Short Season A Mahoning Valley last year. Baker, just 19-years-old, signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2007 out of Australia. Baker was fourth in AB's (215) in the Arizona Rookie League last season. He also went 1-for-14 in seven games for Low A Lake County. The addition gets Kinston's active roster back to 25 players. The K-Tribe had been at 24 players since Nick Hagadone was promoted on May 29th. Speaking of 24, Kinston had 24 roster moves in the month of May. Currently Kinston has 12 players on the roster that did not start the season with the K-Tribe.

Three's Company for Montero - Three is the lucky number for Lucas Montero who last night tied a season high with three hits. On Wednesday night Montero tied a Carolina League record with three outfield assists, as he threw out two runners trying to stretch singles to doubles and also gunned down Rey Navarro, who was trying to tag up and score on a fly ball in the fifth.
