
National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience Nominated for Best Venue in the World Football Summit Industry Awards

Frisco, Texas - The National Soccer Hall of Fame at Toyota Stadium received another honor today as the World Football Summit announced that the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience is a finalist for Best Venue in the 2019 WFS Industry Awards. Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA join the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience in the category.
"We're thrilled at the recognition the National Soccer Hall of Fame Experience has received since it opened to the public on November 2, 2018," said National Soccer Hall of Fame Executive Director Djorn Buchholz. "It combines facial recognition, virtual reality and gesture technology with iconic artifacts of the game to create an experience unlike any other in sports."
In May, the National Soccer Hall of Fame won the American Alliance of Museums Media and Technology Network's Gold Muse Award for Research and Innovation for its facial recognition software powered by NEC.
The WFS Industry Awards ceremony is Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Madrid, Spain.
2019 National Soccer Hall of Fame Induction Weekend
The second annual National Soccer Hall of Fame Weekend at Toyota Stadium is September 21-22, 2019. The weekend will see U.S. Soccer legend Abby Wambach and former U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati inducted in the National Soccer Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 21. The Hall of Fame concert presented by WinStar World Casino and Resort featuring One Republic, The Fray and Frisco's Maelyn Jarmon is Saturday, September 21 following the induction ceremony. FC Dallas hosts New York City FC in the National Soccer Hall of Fame Game presented by AdvoCare on Sunday, September 22 at Toyota Stadium. Tickets to the concert and match are available for purchase.
