Real Salt Lake News Release

SANDY, Utah - - Real Salt Lake welcomes Eastern Conference foe New York City FC to Sandy on Saturday, August 3 at 8:00p MT in the club's first regular season contest after the 2019 MLS All-Star Game. Saturday's match can be seen live locally on KMYU, the KSL TV app and will be carried on the radio on ESPN700.

RSL enters Saturday's contest on the back of a hard-fought 0-0 draw in Frisco, Texas with FC Dallas last Saturday. In the draw, RSL saw GK Nick Rimando earn his 150th career shutout - his 114th in an RSL uniform - as he registered two saves. Additionally, DF Justen Glad became the club's first Homegrown player to reach 100 regular season appearances for RSL when he started and played the full 90 minutes in Dallas.

Assistant Coach Freddy Juarez will lead the team against NYCFC while Head Coach Mike Petke serves the second match of his three-match suspension stemming from the club's Leagues Cup match on July 24.

Entering Saturday's match in Sandy, RSL holds the all-time series lead over NYCFC with a 3-1-0 (9 points) record. The last time NYCFC visited the Wasatch Front was in 2017 as RSL topped the New York club 2-1 courtesy of goals from MF Albert Rusnák and Aaron Maund.
