Columbus River Dragons News Release
The game between the Columbus River Dragons and Mississippi Sea Wolves was suspended at 3:38 of the third period after an injury to River Dragons defenseman Nathan Balkwill that required his transport to a local hospital.
Balkwill is alert, awake and talking. He will remain in the hospital overnight to undergo further medical assessment.
We ask all fans to respect his and his family's privacy at this time, and we will provide updates on his condition as they are known.
