Nate DiCasmirro Reassigned To Crunch

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they received right wing Nate DiCasmirro on reassignment from the Phoenix Coyotes. In addition, the Columbus Blue Jackets reassigned right wing Steven Goertzen to San Antonio.

DiCasmirro, 29, has appeared in 23 games for San Antonio this season, netting 6 goals, 2 assists and 16 penalty minutes. In 381 career AHL games with Hamilton, Toronto, Edmonton, Grand Rapids, Providence and San Antonio, DiCasmirro has tallied 63 goals, 107 assists and 291 penalty minutes. A native of Aitkokan, Ontario, DiCasmirro was acquired by Phoenix along with a fifth round draft pick from Boston in exchange for Alex Auld on December 6, 2007.

Goertzen, 23, has appeared in 59 games for the Crunch this season, tallying 8 goals, 5 assists and 72 penalty minutes. In parts of five seasons with the Crunch, Goertzen has appeared in 224 games, notching 26 goals, 32 assists and 351 penalty minutes. A native of Stony Plain, Alberta, Goertzen was drafted by Columbus in the seventh round, 225th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
