Medicine Hat, AB - Medicine Hat Tigers' goaltender Kevin Nastiuk has established a new franchise record for most regular season career shutouts.
The 19-year-old Edmonton native recorded his fourth shutout of the season, his second in two nights, as the Tigers downed the visiting Kamloops Blazers 4-0 to at The Arena in Medicine Hat. Nastiuk surpasses Mark Fitzpatrick who held the previous career shutout record at 7.
Tonight's shutout is the third consecutive shutout the Tigers have posted. Matt Keetley earned a shutout in his first ever WHL start on October 9th in Prince George with a 2-0 victory. The Tigers have given up just 8 goals in their first nine games of the 2004-05 season.
