From the Notes

That's A Lot of Zeroes: After last night's 1-0 defeat, the Sounds have now played in 11 shutout games this season, more than any other team in the Pacific Coast League. Nashville is 6-5 in shutouts this year.

Something's Got to Give: This series between the Sounds and Rainiers features strength vs. strength when Tacoma is at the plate. As a pitching staff, the Sounds have issued just 167 walks this season, the fewest in the PCL. The Rainiers, meanwhile, have drawn 303 free passes, the most in the PCL. Tonight's starter for the Sounds, Eric Jokisch, is averaging 2.93 walks per nine innings on the season. The Sounds did not walk any Rainiers in the series opener and issued three last night.

Hi Haters: Despite CMA Fest and Vanderbilt University baseball hosting a Super Regional this weekend in Nashville, the Sounds still managed sellouts each of the last two nights. It is the second time this season First Tennessee Park has been sold out in two straight games. It also occurred on April 28 & 29 against New Orleans.

Give the Man Some Help: Tonight's starting pitcher for the Sounds, Eric Jokisch, has not been the beneficiary of much offense when he takes the mound. In his ten starts the Sounds offense has totaled just 25 runs. Of the seven pitchers who have made four or more starts for the Sounds this season, Jokisch's 2.5 runs of support per start is the lowest.
