Today's Game: Alex Young is making the third career Triple-A start of his career this afternoon in Memphis. Young has won each of his two previous starts and holds a 3.09 ERA in 11.2 innings of work. Anthony Recker and Christian Walker both enter today's contest with two home runs in the series and Ildemaro Vargas is riding a season-high 10-game hit streak.

Last Game: Anthony Recker continued his red-hot offensive season Saturday night. The veteran catcher recorded his second multi-home run game of the season with blasts in the first and fifth innings while scoring/driving in all of the Aces eight runs. Anthony Vasquez was excellent (6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER) earning his fourth win of the season. The win moves Reno to a record of 29-34, one game back of second place in the Pacific Northern Division.

Christian being Christian: Christian Walker, the reigning Pacific Coast League MVP, hit his first home run since May 23 Friday night in Memphis. Last night, Walker launched his second of the series with a solo blast in the third inning. Walker has hit 37 home runs in an Aces uniform and recorded 134 RBI.

Gone Streaking: With a 1-for-4 performance last night, Ildemaro Vargas has hit safely in a season-high 10 consecutive games. Over that 10-game stretch Vargas is 16-for-46 (.348) with two home runs, six RBI and seven runs scored. In addition, Vargas has reached base in 15 consecutive games (22-for-68, 3 BB, 7 RBI). Last season, Vargas' longest hitting streak was 13 games from May 9th through May 22nd. During that streak Vargas recorded 20 hits and had seven doubles.

Twice the Pop: Anthony Recker became the first Aces player of the 2018 season to record two multi-home run games. Recker's first two-homer game came on April 30th in El Paso. Recker has 14 two-homer games in his career (1 in MLB - 9 in Triple-A - 2 in Double-A - 2 in Single-A)

Silvino's Perfect Night: Silvino Bracho tossed a perfect sixth and seventh inning last night in Denver, Colorado to earn his second Big League win of the season. Bracho went 2.0 innings and struck out four to lower his 2018 MLB ERA down to 0.87. Bracho was recalled on June 5th and appeared in his 8th game with the Arizona Diamondbacks last night. Bracho has appeared in 68 games with the D-backs in his career and boasts a career ERA of 4.76. The right-hander has pitched in 13 games for Triple-A Reno in 2018 and is 1-1 with three saves.
