From the Notes
Put a Naile in Seven: Nashville starter James Naile tossed seven innings in last night's loss. It's the second time this season he has gone seven frames and is the only Nashville starter to log a start of at least seven innings this year.
You Can't Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too: The Sounds are 3-5 against the Baby Cakes this season. In the three wins, they're averaging 7.33 runs per game, but in the five losses, they're averaging 1.2 runs per game and have been shut out twice.
If You Start Me Up: Nashville starters have more than held their own in the first 21 games of the season. Despite the starters having a collective 5-9 mark, their ERA is 2.71 (103.0 IP/31 ER). In the 103 innings, they have allowed 87 hits and 34 walks to go along with 94 strikeouts.
Live it up Like it's the Weekend: With another loss last night, Nashville's struggles on the weekend continued. In Friday, Saturday and Sunday games, the Sounds are just 2-8. The last win on a weekend was April 15 in a 1-0 win over Omaha.
You get a Shutout, and you get a Shutout: The Sounds have been involved in a shutout in 38% of their games in 2018. They have thrown a league-best five shutouts and have been on the wrong end of three.

.@nashvillesounds trail NOLA 1-0 after 7. Another good outing for James Naile. His final line: 7ip, 1r, 4h, 1bb, 5k (90/59). Naile has each of the two 7-inning outings the Sounds have gotten this year. #Athletics
