From the Notes
Division Champs and Playoff Bound: The Sounds have won the American Southern Division and will take part in the Pacific Coast League Playoffs for the first time since 2007. It's the fifth division title for the franchise since joining the PCL in 1998. With the best record in the league (81-56), they were the first team to clinch their spot in the playoffs.
American Conference Finals Set: Nashville and Oklahoma City have both clinched playoffs spots and the two teams will meet in the American Conference Finals scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 7 in Oklahoma City. In 16 meetings this year, Oklahoma City won 10.
20 Spot, x2: For the second time this year, the Sounds reached 20 wins in a single month. Nashville went 22-8 in the month of May and now sit 20-8 in August with two games remaining.
Walk It Off: Last night's walk-off win was the 10th for the Sounds this year. The team is now 6-5 in extra innings.
Winning Against Everybody: The Sounds have a winning record against every division in the Pacific Coast League. They combined to go 24-8 against the Pacific Conference and are 57-48 against the American Conference. The only two teams the Sounds do not have at least a .500 record against this year is Iowa (5-8) and Oklahoma City (6-10).
