The 2021 Major League Soccer season is currently on pause as players depart from their club teams and join their respective national squads. This two-week international break kicks off a summer filled with the global game with the Concacaf Gold Cup and CONMEBOL Copa America also starting in July. 

Nashville SC has four players that will be representing their countries: Jhonder Cádiz (Venezuela), Aníbal Godoy (Panama), Alistair Johnston (Canada) and Randall Leal (Costa Rica).

As these players represent their national teams, we'll keep you updated on how they're doing abroad. Here's what you need to know about the Boys in Gold on international duty:

Jhonder Cádiz - Venezuela

Cádiz joined the Venezuelan National Team for CONMEBOL's FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Qualifiers, playing 11 minutes off the bench in a 3-1 loss to Bolivia on Thursday. Venezuela will take on Uruguay in its next qualifier match on Tuesday, June 8. That match will be streamed on FuboTV.

This is Cádiz's first call-up to La Vinotinto since 2019. The forward had appeared in three matches for Venezuela prior to his appearance on Thursday after working his way through the youth levels. Cádiz scored one goal for the Venezuela U-20 team and three goals for the U-17 side.

Aníbal Godoy - Panama

Godoy and Panama resume FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Qualifiers against Anguilla on Saturday, June 5. Panama will play its final match of the first round of qualifiers against the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, June 8. Both matches can be seen on Paramount Plus.

The holding midfielder celebrated his 100th cap with Panama during his last international outing as they beat Barbados 1-0 on March 25. He made his international debut against Venezuela on March 3, 2010 and has scored one goal and earned four assists in his international career.

Alistair Johnston - Canada

Johnston and Canada Soccer will continue their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Qualifying journey against Aruba on Saturday, June 5. Canada will also play Suriname on Tuesday, June 8 to wrap up the break. You can catch those matches on Paramount Plus.

The right back earned his first call-up with Canada Soccer in January after excelling in his rookie season with Nashville SC in 2020. He then rejoined the National Team in March for the first two matches of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Qualifiers, in which Johnston earned his first appearance in a 5-1 win against Bermuda on March 25, and his first international goal and an assist in an 11-0 win over the Cayman Islands on March 30.

Randall Leal - Costa Rica

Leal started for Costa Rica on Thursday night against Mexico in the semifinal of the CONCACAF Nations League in Denver, Colorado. He played 85 minutes in an eventual loss on penalties. Costa Rica will face Honduras for third place in the Nations League at 5:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, June 6. All CONCACAF Nations League matches can be seen on Paramount Plus.

Following the Nations League, Costa Rica will quickly turn around and face the United States in a friendly on June 9 in Sandy, Utah at Rio Tinto Stadium. You can catch that game on ESPN2, TUDN and UniMás.

Leal has appeared in 17 games for Los Ticos and scored two goals against the Dominican Republic in CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying for the U23 side.
