From the Notes

Smo vs. Round Rock: Nashville outfielder Jake Smolinski has had a lot of success throughout his career against Round Rock. The 29-year-old is batting .364 (8-for-22) with 5 runs, 4 home runs, and 5 RBI in 6 games against the Dance Halls this season. He has faced Round Rock 22 times with Nashville and New Orleans in his career and is batting .318 (28-for-88) with 15 runs, 6 doubles, 6 home runs, and 9 RBI. Smolinski will bat cleanup and play center field tonight.

A First Time For Everything: Last night's loss was the first of its kind for Nashville. The Honky Tonks held a lead after the eighth inning for the 27th time this season but it was the first time Nashville lost when doing so. Round Rock is now 4-31 when trailing after eight innings.

Un'save'ry: Bobby Wahl blew his first save of the season last night when Round Rock's Drew Robinson took him deep with a two-out game-tying home run in the top of the ninth inning. For Wahl it was his first blown save since May 22, 2016 when he was with Double-A Midland against Corpus Christi. It snapped a stretch of 24 straight converted save opportunities. Wahl is now 34-for-39 in save opportunities in his career. The Nashville bullpen has now blow five saves in nine opportunities in June and is 16-for-24 on the season.
