Nash, Prout added to West All-Star team
February 15, 2005 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER â The National Lacrosse League announced Tuesday that Mammoth goaltender Gee Nash and forward Gavin Prout have been selected as reserves for the West Division All-Star team.
The 2005 NLL All-Star Game will be played at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, on Saturday, Feb. 26 at noon Mountain time. The game will be broadcast live on NBC.
Mammoth captain Gary Gait and defenseman Pat Coyle were named starters for the West All-Stars in an announcement last week.
The league, in collaboration with West All-Stars head coach Chris Hall of Calgary and East All-Stars head coach Paul Day of Rochester, selected the reserves. Hall and Day earned the honors of coaching their respective All-Star teams by virtue of their teams' first-place standing after the games of Week 7 (Feb. 11-13). Second-place coaches Johnny Mouradian of San Jose (West) and Terry Sanderson of Toronto (East) were named assistant coaches of their respective All-Star teams. Colorado and San Jose are tied for second in the West Division at 3-3 but San Jose holds the tiebreaker with a win in the teams' only head-to-head meeting of the season thus far.
