February 15, 2005 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
San Jose Stealth News Release

SAN JOSE - San Jose Stealth forwards Gary Rosyski and Ryan Boyle have been selected to represent the Western Division for the 2005 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game. Stealth Coach Johnny Mouradian was named assistant coach of the Western Division, based on leading the team to their second place standing.

The 2005 NLL All-Star Game will be played at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. Pacific Time. The game will be broadcast live on NBC.

Rosyski, among the league leaders in scoring with 38 points (16 goals, 22 assists), will be making his first appearance to an All-Star Game. The five-foot-eight, 185-pound Toronto, ON native has posted at least five points in every game this season, including a nine-point night (three goals, six assists) on Jan. 22 vs. Minnesota.

Boyle is impressing everyone in the NLL this season. In his rookie campaign, Boyle has already been named Rookie of the Week twice (weeks two and four) and Rookie of the Month for January. His 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) ranks him 14th in the league and his two game-winning goals ties him for the NLL lead. The Princeton graduate has also scooped 40 loose balls, including 14 on Feb. 5 at Philadelphia.

Rosyski and Boyle will join teammates Anthony Cosmo and Jim Moss, who were selected as starters for the West Division last Friday. Mouradian will join Calgary Head Coach Chris Hall in coaching the group of stars.

The East and West Division All-Star teams each consist of eighteen players (16 runners and two goaltenders). Online fan balloting comprised one-third of the selection of the starting lineups, with the league's general managers and media providing the other two-thirds. The league, in collaboration with East All-Stars Head Coach Paul Day (Rochester) and West All-Stars Head Coach Hall, selected the reserves.
