
Nailers Re-Sign Andrew Lord

Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the proud ECHL affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins and the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, have announced the signings of center Andrew Lord and defenseman Nathan Schwartzbauer. The popular and hard-working Lord will be coming back to the Nailers for his second season of professional hockey. The West Vancouver, British Columbia native had 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points in his rookie season to place third on the team in scoring behind only Bryan Ewing and Jordan Morrison.
The 24 year old Lord is 6'3" and 200 pounds. He came to Wheeling following a four year collegiate career at Rensellaer Polytech Institute (R.P.I.) in Troy, NY of the ECAC. He had 19 goals and 26 helpers with the Engineers while winning the team's Scholar-Athlete award in back to back seasons and was named to the ECAC All-Academic team in 2006. In juniors he won a BCHL championship with the Vernon Vipers in 2004
