
Condors Care-A-Van to Taft this Thursday

This Week in Condorstown: Tuesday, Aug. 4: Colonel ClawdCondors mascot Colonel Claw'd will take part in the National Night Out Against Crime event that will be held downtown on Truxtun and Eye Street starting at 6 p.m. The Colonel will be greeting families and handing out Condors merchandise. The Night Out Against Crime will feature the Bakersfield Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit, the SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, K-9 Unit, and the Traffic and Patrol Section. There will also be face painting, games for kids, food booths and tours of the police department.
Thursday, Aug. 6: The Condors Care-A-Van will next travel to Taft as it joins the Taft Kiwanis at the OT Steakhouse at 205 10th Street. Representatives from the Condors and Goodwill will serve as the luncheon speakers and will discuss the Condors community outreach efforts as well as Goodwill's mission to put people back to work. At 1:30 p.m. the Care-A-Van will head over to the Walter Glenn Natatorium, located at 821 4th Street, where kids will be able to enjoy the Condors bounce house, inflatable slapshot, prizewheel and of course, Colonel Claw'd. Send us your vacation photos: Condors fans are invited to take pictures of themselves on vacation with Condors gear. The pictures will be included in a new category on the Condors Photo Gallery. Photograph yourself wearing a Condors t-shirt at the beach, snap a photo of a bobble head at the Grand Canyon or wear a foam finger camping! Whatever the Condors merchandise and wherever the vacation spot is, we want to see it and put it on the website for others to admire.
