Nailers Announce 2015 Preseason Schedule

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud members of the ECHL, have announced their schedule for the 2015 preseason. Wheeling will play two games against the Cincinnati Cyclones, with one contest taking place in each city.
Cincinnati will play host to the preseason opener at U.S. Bank Arena, which will take place on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30. Two days later, the Nailers and Cyclones will make their way to WesBanco Arena, where they will drop the puck at 7:35 on Friday, October 9th.
In addition to being the Nailers' closest opponent geographically, Wheeling and Cincinnati have developed a spectacular rivalry in the twelve seasons that the Cyclones have been members of the ECHL. During the 2013-14 campaign, the two sides clashed for the 100th time in regular season play, and to this date, have met up on 111 different occasions. The all-time series has been nearly even, with the Nailers carrying a slight 56-55 lead into the upcoming season. In fact, the last 16 games have featured eight wins by each club, which includes four home victories and four road triumphs each way. 2015-16 will see Wheeling and Cincinnati play in different conferences, although there will be four head-to-head meetings during the regular season.
This will be the second consecutive year that the Nailers and Cyclones will do battle during the preseason, after the two squads split a pair of games at WesBanco Arena in 2014.
The Wheeling Nailers will open the 2015-16 regular season on October 16th and 17th in Norfolk, before starting their home season on October 24th against the Brampton Beast at 7:35.
