Michael Fisher Named Evansville IceMen Director of Ticket Sales & Services

Evansville, IN - The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, announced today that Michael Fisher has been named the new Director of Ticket Sales & Services. Fisher, from Lee's Summit, Missouri comes to Evansville with previous ticket management experience with both the Missouri Mavericks and Arizona Sundogs hockey teams.
A graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Speech Communication, Mike Fisher brings to the IceMen organization a successful background in sports ticket sales. He was the Ticket Sales Manager for the start-up Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League during the 2006-2007 hockey season. In May of 2007, Fisher was then promoted to Director of Ticket Sales & Service, a position he held in Prescott Valley until July, 2009. While in Arizona he was the CHL Employee of the Month in December, 2007 and was a nominee for CHL Ticket Executive of the Year during the 2007-08 season.
Mike then moved on to the start-up Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League, located in Independence, Missouri, first as the team's Director of Ticket Sales during the 2009-2010 and 2010-11 seasons and then as the Director of Ticket Operations. During his time with the Mavericks the team was recognized as CHL Franchise of the Year in 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14. Missouri joined the ECHL in the fall of 2014.
"I'm excited to be joining the Evansville IceMen who are considered to be one of the top franchises in the ECHL," said Mike Fisher. "The staff is an experienced, professional group that I look forward to working with. I wish to thank IceMen Owner Ron Geary for the opportunity to continue to grow one of the best fan bases in all of minor professional hockey." Mike Fisher replaces Matthew Kiel as the team's Director of Ticket Sales. Mr. Kiel and his wife are moving to Indianapolis to accept a new position in that market.
