Mystics Game Notes:
Brittney Sykes led the way with 20 points including the game-winning shot to give the Mystics the win on the road to end the regular season. She added seven rebounds, six assists and two steals, while shooting 7-16 from the field and 2-6 from three in an all-around effort.
Her buzzer-beating shot was the first for the Mystics this year, and the first for the franchise since Natasha Cloud won it for the Mystics on August 18, 2018 vs. Los Angeles.
Her performance marked her first career game in which she's recorded 20+ points, 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists and 2+ steals.
She leads the league with 36 games recording at least one steal on the season, and this was her 20th game with 2+ steals on the year.
Natasha Cloud posted 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and a block, while going 6-10 from the field, 2-4 from deep and 3-3 from the free-throw line.
With her scoring she passed the 2,000 points mark for her career, all of which has come with the Mystics. She is just the eighth player to amass 2,000 points with the franchise.
This was her third career game with 15+ points while shooting 60% or better from the field, 50% or better from three, and 100% from the free-throw line.
Today marked her fourth game this season with 15+ points, 5+ assists, and 5+ rebounds, as she now has nine such games in her career.
Elena Delle Donne added 11 points, four assists, three rebounds and a block in the contest, going 3-6 from the field, 1-2 from three and 4-5 from the free-throw line.
This was her fifth game this season posting 10+ points on 60% or better shooting from the field and 50% or better shooting from three.
Ariel Atkins recorded 11 points, including a 5-5 mark from the free-throw line, while posting four steals in the win.
This was her 12th career game with 4+ steals and her second such game this season. She finishes the regular season with a 1.2 steals per game average and has now averaged at least one steal per game in each of her six WNBA seasons.
Tianna Hawkins grabbed her 1,000th career rebound in the contest, as she added five points and five rebounds off the bench, going 2-4 from the field and 1-1 from downtown.
