Mystics to hold tryouts for Mystics Mayhem

Washington, D.C. - The Washington Mystics will hold tryouts for the Mystics Mayhem squad on Sunday, April 1st from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Verizon Center practice court. The Mystics Mayhem is a pep squad made up of boys and girls ages 6-17 years old and gives kids the opportunity to show their athleticism and enthusiasm while supporting the Washington Mystics at each home basketball game.

The Mystics are also holding tryouts for Maniac Moms, Pax's Posse, Baby Pax, Anthem signers and halftime performances. The Maniac Moms are a group of adult women that perform at a handful of Mystics games. Pax's Posse is an energy squad made up of young adults that gets the crowd hyped at each home game. Registration forms can be found online and questions can be emailed to mysticsmayhem@washmystics.com

The Mystics will tip off its tenth season on Saturday May 19th at 6:00 p.m. when the team hosts conference rival, Connecticut Sun. Season tickets and partial plans for the 2007 Mystics season are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Mystics Sales Office at 1-877-DC-HOOP1 or by visiting the Mystics web site at www.washingtonmystics.com.
