Seattle Storm News Release

SEATTLE, Thursday, March 22, 2007 - The Seattle Storm and FSN Northwest today announced the team's 2007 television schedule. For the second season, Cara Capuano will handle play-by-play duties for FSN's local Storm telecasts. She will be joined by LaVonda Wagner, Head Coach of the Oregon State women's basketball team.

FSN Northwest will televise five Storm regular-season games including the team's second matchup at home against the Phoenix Mercury on May 23, a mid-season contest vs. the New York Liberty on July 1 and a game against the Eastern Conference's Washington Mystics on Aug. 11. The other two games to be televised are a Western Conference matchup at Sacramento on June 7 and the June 24 contest at Los Angeles.

"We're very excited to continue our longstanding partnership with FSN," said Karen Bryant, Chief Operating Officer of the Seattle Storm. "FSN is a leader in sports programming and will enhance the Storm basketball experience for all fans. Cara and LaVonda's experience and insight will greatly enhance this year's television broadcasts."

Capuano has extensive experience calling game action for FSN, including women's collegiate basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer and gymnastics. In addition to her role as an anchor and reporter for FSN Live, she has also provided sideline reports during FSN's college football telecasts.

Wagner just completed her second season as a collegiate head coach, leading a very young Oregon State squad to a 9-19 record that exceeded the expectations of those covering the Pac-10 this season. An assistant coach for 17 years at three NCAA Division I institutions (Duke University, University of Illinois, East Tennessee State), Wagner is accustomed to success, having coached in the NCAA Final Four, two NCAA Elite Eight games, and two NCAA Sweet 16 appearances.

"FSN's partnership with the Storm is an important part of the network's commitment to offer fans a robust event schedule on a year-round basis," said Mark Shuken, Vice President and General Manager for FSN Northwest. "We look forward to being the home for the Storm's passionate fan base while also introducing new fans to such an exciting brand of basketball."

In addition to the five games broadcast on television locally by FSN Northwest, three of the Storm's 34 games will be broadcast nationally, including a home matchup against Western Conference rival Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 3 on ESPN2.

The 2007 Storm season will open against the Houston Comets on Saturday, May 19, at 7 p.m. The following Wednesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Phoenix Mercury at 7 p.m. at KeyArena. The defending WNBA Champion Detroit Shock will visit KeyArena on Wednesday, June 20.
