Myrtle Beach Pelicans: Pelicans Host Augtoberfest Beer Tasting Event on August 17

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are partnering with Better Brands and Samuel Adams to host Augtoberfest on Friday, August 17 at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The event will take place in conjunction with the Pelicans' 7:05 p.m. game against the Buies Creek Astros. For just $30, fans receive a ticket to the ballgame, exclusive access to the beer tasting session from 6-8 p.m. and a souvenir tasting mug.
The beer tasting event features a variety of 24 beers and ciders including Stone Fear Movie Lion, Funky Buddha Key Lime Tart, Southern Tier Pumking and DuClaw Sweet Baby Java. A complete list is available here .
To help celebrate Augtoberfest, the Pelicans are also hosting a pregame on-field Cornhole Tournament courtesy Coastal Tailgating. The grand prize for the 32-team tournament is a set of Pelicans cornhole boards and bags from Coastal Tailgating. There is no fee to play in the tournament; however, access is limited to those fans who purchase the Augtoberfest ticket package. Fans can sign up for the tournament online when they purchase the ticket package.
The special night also features several games and contests, including a brat-eating competition and steinholding competition. Tickets are available on MyrtleBeachPelicans.com/tickets, or by calling the Pelicans' Box Office at (843) 918-6000.
Augtoberfest doubles as a Beer, Brats and Baseball presented by WMBF and Lowes Foods, with $2 craft drafts from 6-8 p.m. and buy-one, get-one-free Lowes Foods sausages all night long. In addition, on a First Responder Friday presented by 707 Indoor Shooting Range and Goldfinch Winslow Attorneys and Counselors at Law all first responders receive half-price tickets at the Pelicans' Box Office.
