SAN JOSE QB MARK GRIEB vs. ORLANDO QB JOE HAMILTON
Two of the AFL's top quarterbacks square off when QB MARK GRIEB (6-2, 205, Cal-Davis) and the defending champion San Jose SaberCats (1-3) travel to TD Waterhouse Centre to face QB JOE HAMILTON (5-10, 190, Georgia Tech) and the Orlando Predators (4-1) this Sunday at noon ET on NBC.
Grieb, a former Offensive Player of the Year, has completed 109-for-165 passes (66.1%) for 1,324 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions. The former All-Arena performer is known for his ability to make smart decisions with the ball, his pinpoint accuracy and his championship leadership experience.
Hamilton, a former Heisman Trophy runner-up, has completed 100-for-161 passes (62.1%) for 1,138 yards, 19 touchdowns and six interceptions. The second-year veteran is known for his pocket presence, mobility and his toughness under pressure.
NEW YORK WR/LB MIKE HORACEK vs. PHILADELPHIA WR/LB SEAN SCOTT
Two of this season's best Ironmen go head-to-head when WR/LB MIKE HORACEK (6-2, 190, Iowa State) and the New York Dragons (3-1) battle WR/LB SEAN SCOTT (6-2, 200, Millerville) and the Philadelphia Soul in an Eastern Division showdown this Sunday at noon ET on NBC.
Horacek, who was named Offensive Player of the Year in 2000, has recorded 18 receptions for 244 yards and seven touchdowns, while adding two interceptions on defense. The Week 5 U.S. Army Ironman of the Week is known for his physical play, great hands and route-running abilities.
Scott, who was U.S. Army Ironman of the Week in Weeks 1 and 2, has hauled in 26 receptions for 343 yards and 12 touchdowns, while recording 22.5 total tackles and forcing a fumble on defense. The emerging star is known for his size, great hands and his ability to make plays in the red zone.
