
Musketeers Win First Home Game of 2020

Sioux City Musketeers News Release
Sioux City was able to cap off a 5-1 victory in a 3rd period comeback against the Fargo Force on Sunday afternoon. The Musketeers got the best of Fargo in their first home game of 2020. The 1st period consisted of a defensive matchup and no scoring as neither team was able to get many shots on goal with 6 by the Force and 4 by the Musketeers. Fargo would strike first with a 1-0 lead and 14 shots in the 2nd period, the Musketeers with only 5. Sioux City would not allow Fargo to escape Sioux City with 2 points as the Musketeers would storm back and score 5 unanswered goals starting with Nolan Krenzen at the 6:29 mark from the blue line followed by Kirklan Irey who would give the Musketeers a 2-1 lead with the 6:01 in the 3rd. Sam Stange would also score with only 3:02 left in the 3rd period before Fargo would pull Cole Brady and allow 2 empty net goals and Ray Christy his 6th goal of the season and Ethan Harrison his 5th to finish off the win 5-1.
The Musketeers travel north for the I-29 rivalry and a doubleheader against the Sioux Falls Stampede on Friday, January 17th at 7:05 P.M. and Saturday, January 18th at 7:05 P.M.
