
Storm Add Forward Joey Cipollone to Roster

Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm have added forward Joey Cipollone to the active roster ahead of tonight's road game against the Waterloo Black Hawks. Cipollone was drafted by Tri-City 46th overall, in the 3rd round, of the 2015 USHL Phase I draft. He skated for the team in all sixty-two of its games during the 2017-2018 season. Cipollone spent last season, and part of this season, with the University of Vermont in the NCAA. He netted three goals and recorded one assist in the 2019-2020 regular season for Vermont.
Joey Cipollone, 20, of Purchase, New York, returns to Tri-City following forty-seven games played with the University of Vermont Catamounts. He scored his first career USHL goal on October 20th, 2017 in Tri-City's 4-1 defeat of the Omaha Lancers at the Viaero Center. Cipollone scored a goal in each of his next two games to record his first career three game goal streak. During that stretch, Tri-City went 3-0 against it in state rivals Lincoln and Omaha and outscored the Stars and Lancers by a 16-3 margin. In total, the Storm held a record of (4-0-0-1) during in the 2017-2018 regular season in games where Cipollone scored a goal. At Vermont, he led the team with nine goals and skated in all thirty-four games during his freshman season in 2018-2019.
