Omaha Lancers News Release
RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Lancers went down to the wire with the Fargo Force winning 1-0 on Saturday night.
In the first period, Brian Silver (13:25) crashed the net of Brennan Boynton to send the puck in past him. Jack Jensen recorded the assist on the Lancer's goal as they held on to the 1-0 lead going into the first intermission.
No goals were scored in the second or third period. Fargo pulled Boynton for the extra attacker and went on the power-play for a 6-on-4 chance. The Lancers held their ground as time expired to win 1-0. Kyle McClellan earned his second shutout on the season stopping all 20 Fargo shots that came his way.
The Lancers are now 15-10-5-0 on the year with 35 points and a spot at 3rd place in the USHL Western Conference.
The Lancers are back in action against this weekend against the Chicago Steel on Friday and Saturday at Fox Valley Arena. Puck drop is at 7:05 PM.
