Musketeers Acquire Defenseman Jared Rosbur from Cedar Rapids

Sioux City Musketeers News Release


Sioux City, Iowa - The Sioux City Musketeers have acquired Jared Rosbur, a 96 born left shot defenseman, from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders for 97 born affiliate player Evan Weinger and a 4th round draft pick in Phase 2 of the USHL draft.

Jared is committed to play his college hockey at Michigan State and was also a member if the USA hockey Ivan Hlinka team. "We are excited about adding another young talented defenseman to our group. We see Jared as a player who will help our club now and in the future." Stated Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jay Varady.

Newly named General Manager Luke Strand is "confident that Jared will continue to grow in his new environment here in Sioux City and utilize his assets as a player. I look forward to his progress through this process."

Jared will see action as a Musketeer beginning on Saturday night, December 7 th when the Musketeers travel to Sioux Falls.
